On negative electrode (cathode) positip's ion catches electron (happening reacts reduction), meanwhile on positip's electrode (anode) undone negative ion electron (happening reacts oxidation). If in solution has no ion, therefore that solution can't deliver electricity current. 
Electrolyte compound is compound one if be dissolved into water will most ion (or most ionization). Electrolyte compound can be differentiated as strong electrolyte compound and compound electrolyte rans down. Strong electrolyte compound is compound underwater one most perfect ion or approaching perfect, so that compound the whole lot or as almost all changed as ion. a. Acid strength, its example: HCl, HBr, HI, H 2 SO 4 , HNO 3 , HCLO 4
b. Basa is strength, its example: NaOH, KOH, Ba (OH) 2 , Sr (OH) 2
c. Salt, e.g.: NaCl, KCl, MgCl 2 , KNO 3 , MgSO 4
